Are you feeling unsure or confused about pursuing your purpose on that God-sized dream that was placed on your heart? Do you feel like you aren’t humanly equipped to take on what seems like such an impossible endeavor? These Bible verses I’m covering will encourage you that even though you might feel small compared to God’s plan, it is totally possible with God.
It’s super easy to get scared and feel like you’re so small compared to this big dream even though you get excited thinking about it. So many of us struggle with this and you aren’t alone. Be renewed and encouraged that God’s plan & purpose for your life is not out of reach going through these Bible verses.
Encouragement from Bible verses for pursuing God’s purpose for your life
Do you feel sometimes that nothing is going to stop you from your huge audacious plans, like you have the right mindset that you’re going to keep going no matter what, then seems like you get hit from every angle with obstacles and hardship? Maybe your struggle might even look like someone trampling and talking down your plans.
Satan really doubles down on his efforts when you aren’t letting your circumstances change your plans or your attitude. That’s why it’s so important to write encouraging Bible verses on your heart (Proverbs 3:3-6).
Have you shared your plans with people that you thought would support you and instead your vision was crushed? The thing with this kind of discouragement is that you might not realize at the time that it is discouragement. It might dress itself up as passive support, or passive re-direction.
Going through hardships and discouragement is meant to be a hindrance. It’s deterrence. The enemy doesn’t want us to have the good life God promised us. You know when you’re being met with force when you start moving to put your plans into play and it seems like they start to crumble. But we have God’s promises and Bible verses for encouragement to push through the darkness.
Encouragement for God’s plan and support for your future
Jeremiah 29:11 says- For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Another scripture that is encouraging is Proverbs 16:9 which says A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.
God has pre-planned your future in Jeremiah 29:11. He will also direct your steps as you plan your way. God has blessed you with every step of the process, even when it might seem like it’s not working. We may not be able to view the other side of the curtain, but we have Bible verses to renew our minds. When we are operating in faith, huge things can happen.
Because of her faith, Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it. Because she considered God Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word. (Hebrews 11:11)
Sarah and Abraham waited 20 years for the baby God promised them.
Bible verses of God calling people in the Bible to their purpose
In Matthew 17:20 – Jesus says if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed you can say to this mountain, move, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
We see God’s faithfulness through these Bible verses and how reliable He is.
In Exodus 4:10 God called Moses to save the Israelites from being captive in Egypt. Moses told God to send someone else to rescue the Israelites from Egypt because he had a speech problem. God told Moses He would send his brother with him to speak.
God chose Esther to bring deliverance to the Jews when they were marked for death. She was appointed for something very dangerous. She prepared for 12 months to be chosen by the King (Esther 2:12, 2:15).
Amos was not a prophet’s son. He was a herdsman and God called him to prophecy to Isreal (Amos 7:14). He had no prophetic qualifications, yet God equipped him for the job.
Entering a season of preparation
Being in a season of preparation is not easy. When things seem really hard, don’t get discouraged or think about giving up. It is a time to push through and operate in faith that on the other side of the hard season you’re having, there is fruit. You are being prepared for God’s plan and purpose that He has called you to.
God will give you a desire for your purpose. He’s not going to tell you when it will come to pass. You have to trust His timing. His timing is perfect. You will find that when God plants a purpose in you, He delivers in steps. You won’t get the whole entire blueprint for the plan. That’s what faith is. God won’t tell you why. The “why” for us is irrelevant. It is God’s job to know the “why”. That’s why He called you.
Bible verses to meditate on
Two more scriptures for you to meditate on throughout your day is Matthew 19:26. It says with men this is impossible, but ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE with God. So, what’s impossible for us to carry out on our own, God’s whispering to you saying, it’s possible with Me. Proverbs 16:3 encourages us to commit your actions to the Lord, and they will succeed.
I pray that these Bible verses renew your spirit and encourage you to continue with God’s plan and purpose for your calling. Share with me below your favorite Bible verse.
